Women on a Mission

Since 2004, Women on a Mission members have been using their knitting, crocheting, sewing and weaving skills for the needy in our local community and in the world. We have made
- 1300 baby pneumonia vests
- 2300 baby hats
- 405 baby nightgowns
- 1696 winter hats
- 557 pairs of mittens
- 700 teddy bears and comfort dolls
- 271 lap afghans
- Twiddle muffs
- 389 sleeping mats from recycled milkbags
- prayer shawls too numerous to count
Locally, we are supporting Groves Memorial Hospital, Wellington Terrace, Caressant Care, The Door, Community Resource Centre of North and Centre Wellington, Parkwood Mental Health Institute (London), Toronto (homeless shelter), and Victim Services. We have partnered with other groups to send items to Nunavut, Nicaragua, Haiti, Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, Swaziland, Rwanda, Burkino Faso, Phillippines, Ukraine, Dominican Republic, Turkey, and Jamaica.
